Hsin-Kai Wu is an NTNU Chair professor of Graduate Institute of Science Education at the National Taiwan Normal University and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Education at University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
Hsin-Kai Wu is an NTNU Chair professor of Graduate Institute of Science Education at the National Taiwan Normal University and a Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Education at University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She earned a PhD in Science Education from the University of Michigan in 2002. Her research interests include learning technology, inquiry learning, chemistry education and computer-based assessment. She is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education, and associate editor of Journal of Research in Science Teaching. Her work has been published and highlighted in leading journals including Journal of Research in Science Teaching, Science Education, Instructional Science, and Computers & Education. Dr. Wu's research has been recognized in several ways. In April 2008, she received the Early Career Award from the USA-based National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST). The award is given annually to the early researcher who demonstrates the greatest potential to make outstanding and continuing contributions to research in science education. She also received the Outstanding Research Award of the National Science Council in 2009 and the Outstanding Research Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology (now renamed National Science and Technology Council) in 2014 and 2017.
